PROVINCIAL MEMBERSHIP (CONTRACTORS)
Provincial Member Application Form
Voluntary Membership Limited to Contractors bound to Ontario's ICI Construction and Non-ICI Service and Maintenance Agreements and/or the Residential Construction and Residential Non-Construction Service and Maintenance Agreements between ORAC and UA Local 787 - Refrigeration Workers of Ontario.
Membership in the Association shall consist of such individuals, partnerships and corporations as are admitted.
An individual, partnership or Corporation engaged in Ontario in the business of selling, erecting, installing, altering, repairing, servicing or maintaining refrigeration and/or air conditioning equipment primarily in connection with industrial, commercial or institutional and/or residential projects may be admitted as a member of the Association pursuant to the application procedures.
All Applicants are reviewed by a Committee to ensure prerequisites are met.
A member shall maintain and control complete refrigeration and/or air conditioning installation and service facilities with a full time, qualified*, journeyman within the same establishment.
*Qualified means meeting all appropriate provincial standards and holding valid certification as a worker in servicing and installing air conditioning or refrigerating equipment under the TQAA Ontario’s Tradesmen's Qualification and Apprenticeship Act.
A member shall be fully competent himself or have in his full-time employment, personnel competent in all phases of the refrigeration and/or air conditioning business in which he operates.
A member shall have an established location, known to the public, where he transacts his business and shall be duly registered under applicable Government regulations.
An Applicant shall provide proof of Liability Insurance and be in Good Standing with the Workers Safety Insurance Board.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (NON-CONTRACTORS)
Associate Member Application Form
Voluntary Membership to an individual, partnership or Corporation located in the Province of Ontario, that does not operate as a contractor in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, but whose purpose is to provide materials, equipment, education of training or services to the heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
Associate Members will be assessed on the following requirements:

The basic requirements for Associate Members will be as follows:

A. |
Applications will be limited to an individual, partnership or Corporation located in the Province of Ontario, that does not operate as a contractor in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, but whose purpose is to provide materials, equipment, education or training or services to the heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning industry.

B. |
Applicants must have been in existence a minimum of three (3) consecutive years. |

C. |
Applicants must agree to abide by and conduct themselves, their agents or representatives as per ORAC's Code of Ethics. |

D. |
Applications will be limited to two (2) Members in any Industry Sector, or Support Service Provider. |

II Associate Member Rights and Privileges |
 |
Every Associate Member is entitled to the following privileges:

A. |
Associate Members in good standing are entitled to register for and participate in all General Member Forums, the Annual Meeting of the Association, all Social Events and invited to participate in (providing space available) all JTAC or Industry Promotions that ORAC is participating.

B. |
Associate Members are allowed to advertise and promote its business or services to ORAC Member Companies in Association Newsletters and at venues noted in A. above. |

C. |
Associate Members can use the ORAC Logo on its Company stationary and advertising materials with the prior written approval of ORAC. |

D. |
Associate Members can translate, reprint or distribute ORAC publications and materials with prior written approval of ORAC. |

E. |
Associate Members will be listed on the ORAC web site as Associate Members in good standing. |

F. |
Associate Members may display an ORAC provided Membership Certificate in its Company Offices. |

G. |
Associate Members can sponsor golf holes and specialty golf competitions (i.e. longest drive, hole in one, closest to the pin, etc.), display Corporate Logo signage at all General Member Forums, the Annual Meeting and Social Events and host hospitality refreshment receptions, breakfast functions, etc. at same. |

H. |
Associate Members will treat all ORAC Members equally in business transactions and will not provide special favors, gifts or discounts to an individual ORAC Member that is not equally available to all ORAC Members. |
